I grew up surrounded by women whose creativity shaped everything they touched. My mother, grandmother, and aunts infused daily life with making and invention, and from them I inherited both skill and imagination. While others played, I absorbed their knowledge, their patience, and their artistry.

In time, I discovered that our lineage stretched back generations—our family had long been artisans in Ireland. That history lives in me. Like the women before me, I’ve always been drawn to working with my hands—assembling, building, and reimagining materials into something new.

My mother became a master artisan, and while her beautiful work inspired me deeply, I longed to push beyond the utilitarian. I craved something more “out of the box,” more expressive—art that transformed everyday fragments into something alive.

That search led me to sculpture. I began experimenting with reclaimed tile, ceramics, and found objects, creating forms that embrace texture, memory, and beauty. What began as curiosity has grown into a boundless well of creativity, a practice rooted in history yet reaching forward into contemporary expression.
